Plantation Palms - A Highly Desirable Upscale Gated Community

This unique neighborhood consists of 61 single family homes, many of which were custom designed and built between 1991 and 1995. Square footage under air ranges from 3,000 to 4,500 sq. ft. and the neighborhood is a mix of traditional and contemporary one and two story homes, almost all with water views of the large lake in the center of the development. Most homes have a 3 car garage and a pool. Plantation Palms is unique in that it feels like a community within a community and its residents are tight knit.

Residents enjoy having the security of living in a guard gated community with only one entrance and exit. The neighborhood is unique to the rest of Plantation and has visually appealing common grounds, as well as extra wide sidewalks and tall street lights. Most of the streets experience relatively low through traffic so people are often seen walking with friends or pets the neighborhood was well thought out with ample open space, walking trails and no through traffic thanks to a gated entrance.

American Heritage School is nearby for those wishing to send their children to private school. It is a co-educational day school for grades Pre-K through 12 with approximately 2,400 students. It is a nationally recognized college preparatory school rated the #1 private school in the nation for National Merit Scholars and ranked #1 in the nation in math six consecutive years.

There are over 60 student clubs and organizations, as well as multiple service opportunities on and off campus. The library is a 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art structure housing 9 interactive classrooms, 300 computers, and 60,000 volumes of books and reference materials. Other highlights of the campus include two multimedia production studios, three science labs, a 12,000 sq. ft. gymnasium, five athletic fields, and a 2000 sq. ft. weightlifting and conditioning center. American Heritage offers financial aid, scholarships, and faculty tuition benefits to approximately 21% of the student body for tuition expenses.

There are multiple great parks in close proximity to the development including Jacaranda’s Central Park, Sunset Park, Deicke Park and Volunteer Park. Enjoy great local shopping at the Nob Hill Pavilion, Vizcaya Square and the Plantation Promenade, as well as at the large outlet mall at Sawgrass Mills with nearly 2.5M sw. ft. in retail space and over 300 retailers.
